The 22nd World Congress of IFSO (International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity & Metabolic Disorders) will be held in London, United Kingdom, from 29th August to 2nd September 2017.
The scientific program for IFSO 2017 provides a unique opportunity for all those interested in obesity and metabolic surgery to share their experiences, expertise, and knowledge and seek practical solutions in their search to eradicate and manage this epidemic.
IFSO 2017 will offer more than eight postgraduate courses; multiple symposia; and numerous oral, video, and live operating sessions. Joint symposia with anaesthetic, plastic surgery, paediatric surgery, and internal medicine colleagues will highlight the multidisciplinary nature of obesity treatment. Integrated health will also be represented throughout the scientific sessions. The program will cover both surgical and nonsurgical treatment strategies for obesity.
IFSO 2017 in association with the Society for Obesity and Bariatric Anaesthesia (SOBA) will host a Key Issues in Obesity Perioperative Care pre-congress course on Wednesday 30th August and a Bariatric Anaesthesia Symposium on Thursday 31st August in the afternoon.
